Music
Music... what is it what makes us so attracted to it? The Rythym, the Beat,the Words? After all its just sound ; made of vibrations of particles. Yet it is so popular between us humans isn't it?Something we have lived with all our lifes.
So... what is it? Well it is attitude of life i suppose. Music has its own attitude. We have our own attitude. Attitude is also seen as an expression of peoples feelings. So yeah music has lots of different attitudes like humans who have tons mixtures of different feelings and oh look how much music there is in the world. Maybe it adds up?
Theres music which express the feelings of people who are angry,happy,sad, in love and much more different feelings like mixtures. You could maybe compare it to elements and compounds if your a geek like me ;D
And we all know theres people who are sad and happy ect. People have different views to life. I mainly listen to metal even though i may be happy but theres still things in my life which im not pleased with and i revolt against it and i suppose metal music and its words express the feelings well for me? If im angry maybe if its at people i'll probably listen to something like "People=Shit" or "Surfacing" by Slipknot and listen to other songs but because the words in it describe what im angry about and how i feel i tend to listen to it because i like relating the music to things in my life. But if im in love and have a girl on my mind which i do then i'll probably listen to things which are more related to love and take parts of that song and match it upto my feelings and thats probably one of the main things why people like music so much because humans like to and have an urge to express their feelings.
But how do people manipulate sounds into "music" which attracts us? if you think about it is pretty complicated and that you must give it tons of thought but what of the artists? they must feel the same as what we do and simply just express their feelings by making sounds which they think relates somehow to what they feel like also if your angry then your bound to put more emotion into it for example banging the drums harder and faster than usual. So the people who are talented at manipulating sounds are the ones who can express our feelings in music.
So we all have certain opinions of music we like to listen to. If you think of people who like pop ect then they must have a pretty good view of life all around us and think its "great" to be honest i dont know. But alot of them make fun of music like metal becuase its so negative ect so i guess it proves my point slightly.
Even the titles of songs are a way to express your feelings such as "People=Shit" by Sipknot or "I Miss You" by Incubus.
So maybe next time you listen to music after reading this youll think of music in a different way and have a deep thought of what is it your actually listening to. Hoppefully this log hasnt been me just been me sat down here stating the obvious and that ive gave a new inlook into music.:)
